Chemdawg 91

$49.99

Many of the original members of the Chemdawg genetic family share one common factor – no one knows where these strains come from, and no one truly knows what strains were used to breed many of these infamous strains. Many speculate that these strains were created by an East Coast breeder by crossing both Nepalese and Thai landrace strains, which explain the potency and remarkable persistence of these genetics. Chemdawg 91 is no exception to that rule, but it is heavily believed that it was created when a specific cut of the original Chemdawg was altered and bred with the notorious Skunk, which explains its pungent gas or diesel flavours. The distinct earthy and gas flavours of this strain have been passed on to many famous and recognizable strains such as Sour Diesel and OG Kush.

Chemdawg 91

With every great thing in life, there must be balance; this strain may just be that balance. Chemdawg 91, known interchangeably as Chem91, is a well-balanced hybrid (50% indica, 50% sativa) thought to be a child to the widely known and favoured Chemdawg. Though its exact history is unknown, this hybrid strain is thought to have been developed by an East Coast breeder sharing the same name. Due to its pungent, terpene profile, it is believed this strain derives from a cross between either Kush, Hashplant, and Northern Lights, or Chemdawg, Skunk, Nepalese and Thai landraces. Interestingly, the “91” in its name is thought to reflect the year this strain first came into existence. The phenotypes of this popular hybrid can waver between being more indica or sativa dominant, though they are always consistent in possessing high THC levels anywhere between 22%-27%. The extremely well-balanced mixture makes this strain a dynamic high no matter the time of day. As such, Chemdawg 91 has become a popular choice among the weed community due to its ability to evoke feelings of euphoria, elation, and creative energy, which leaves its smoker in a state of utter bliss and social readiness.

THC Concentration & History

Chemdawg 91, also known as “Chem91” or simply “Chem Dawg”, is thought to have been created by an East Coast breeder who shares the same name. This high quality weed has been said to derive from a variety of mixes, such as: Kush, Hashplant, and Northern Lights, or Nepali and Thai Landrace strains. Though, it is also firmly believed that Chemdawg 91 is a direct descendent from Chemdawg itself and Skunk considering its highly pungent and skunk-like aroma. This powerful strain holds an average of 22%-27% THC and is recommended for experienced smokers or the adventurous due to such high potency.

Appearance & Aroma

Due to the multitude of trichomes surrounding its outer surface, Chemdawg 91 is a prize gem packed full of resin. The nightingale brownish-green buds are firm and may require a grinder to properly break down, which exude a strong earthy aroma, rich with dank skunk accents and hints of citrus. The stark citrus flavours are further drawn out when the leaves are burned, giving off a bright though musky diesel taste. The smoke itself is smooth and calming, making you feel a certain respect towards the East Siders for bringing this tasty beauty to life.
